Autonomics is a performative sonic automata construction project, based on the notion of energy models in electroacoustic music.

Energy models place action at the heart of musical creation, and Autonomics transposes these basic actions (percussion, friction, oscillation, flow, rebound, etc.) onto automated, mechanical lutherie.

Sound research focuses on nuances, resonances and the “infrathin", seeking expressiveness in automation and inviting deep, active listening.

The installation unfolds in two connected spaces, one where the automata perform and another where they resonate, a diptych that enables the deployment of a dialectic of sonic and visual perception.

At GMEM, during the "Propagations" festival in May 2024, Autonomics was shown in a two-fold shape installation, Ektara-extended and Sparked-away playing a 13min composition diffused on 4 speakers.
